On Tuesday, September 25 through Friday, September 28, 2018, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) and the City of Human Rights Education (TheCoHRE) will host the Federation of International Human Rights Museums and ICOM COMCOL in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Museum collections are not only more contested than ever before, but also hold more potential to effect social, environmental, and political change. This dynamic is reflective of the global state and the more active role museums are playing within it as change agents, promoting dialogue, understanding, and human rights.
Join approximately 250 member institutions of FIHRM, and museum professionals and associated of ICOM COMCOL, from all continents of the world, as we discuss controversial global issues impacting museums, collections, and human rights, and confront them with a collective voice.
Join us for 4 days of panel discussions, engaging keynotes, networking and an exclusive tour of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights
